Quasimoto Astronaut Ep Rarity

Based producer and Stones Throw pillar Madlib, despite being insanely prolific, has kept his Lord Quas (a.k.a. Quasimoto) alter ego strangely quiet since 2005's The Further Adventures of Lord Quas, a record where Dilla and Wild Man Fischer somehow co-existed. One of the thrills of listening to a Lord Quas record is how it provides Madlib the grounds to throw a sampling free-for-all, using his pitched-up rapping alter ego to spit lazy bars about pretty much anything. Yessir, Whatever, to be released in June, is not a new Quas record, opting instead to roll out 12 unreleased and out-of-print cuts, including two tracks from the Europe-only Astronaut EP. Yessir, Whatever will be available on digital and 12' via Stones Throw on June 18, with an additional 45 for those who spring for the vinyl containing two more cuts, 'Hittin Hooks' and 'Microphone Mathematics Remix.'

An instrumental version of the album followed later, and as its reputation continued to spread, he returned in 2002 with the three-song, vinyl-only EP Astronaut.
