I don't have access to a laptop or vagcom software. I take my car to advanced autoparts when I need a code read, and they just hook up a standard OBD II scanner to the car. My airbag light came on b/c I foolishly moved the passanger seat. I'm gonna clean the connectors and do the ziptie fix, but when I asked them if they could reset the light they acted as if they couldn't reset it with the OBDII scanner. Is this true? Do I have to take it to the dealership?

I searched but couldn't find an answer to this.
