This giveaway is now closed. A winner has been notified by e-mail! Thanks, everyone for the great response. EFY, or, is held every summer in locations all over North America – a week-long session of classes, devotionals, dances and fun. I attended a few sessions as a youth, and had wonderful experiences making friends and building my testimony.
My oldest is going to her first EFY next month, and she cannot wait! I was given the opportunity to review this year’s Especially for Youth CD, “Arise and Shine Forth”, and to also give away one album copy! Economics By Michael Parkin Pdf Reader.
This is a great album – my first thought was, “perfect music for mutual slideshows!”, and my next thought was, “some of these songs are so beautiful they are making me cry.” For example, and listen to track 6 – “I feel My Savior’s Love”. Such a beautiful rendition. Next listen to track 9 – “See it in Everyone”, which may be my favorite on the album. So peppy and happy, and I love the message in the lyrics. I have one album to giveaway, the deadline to enter is Sunday, June 24. To enter, leave a comment on this post telling me if you want this album for yourself, or for someone else!
Music for the annual youth theme and FSY (similar to EFY, but sponsored directly by the Church instead of through BYU). 2012 Mutual Theme: Arise and Shine Forth — 1; 2013 Mutual Theme: Stand Ye in Holy Places — 1; 2014 Mutual Theme: Come Unto Christ — 1; 2015 Mutual Theme: Embark — 1; 2016 Mutual. The Lord told Joseph Smith: “Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nations” (D&C 115:5). “Shine forth” means being a good example to others – those within and without the church. You can download a PDF of the piano/voice sheet music for Arise from the LDS Youth website.
Here’s a handout for. I loved the idea for the “invitation” to prayer and meditate, and used a card designed by as the basis for the visual aid. Much thanks to Teagan for letting me use her beautiful design. I made a few adjustments to the original invite as found in the manual, to make it fit in the space I had to work with – like “WHO” being at the bottom instead of the top, and the arrow pointing the Alma scripture into the column under the “WHY” heading.
